Remote Solar Applications
The combination of Raveon data radio communication and solar power is ideal for applications requiring the control of switches, pumps, and sensors at a distance in locations where grid power is unreliable, including agriculture, irrigation control, remote pump control and more. By pairing solar power with remote automation, the applications are limitless. Through our engineered solutions we can support many different wireless use cases, especially remote monitoring or connectivity at long distances. Here are several applications we currently support:
Field Irrigation control
Raveon transceivers can be used to manage remote pivot irrigation controllers at distances of 10-20 miles. This is more than sufficient for most agricultural irrigation use cases where controllers manage multiple pivot
irrigators and pumps to operate a regular watering schedule. By pairing with our solar solutions, including the 10 watt panel, this operation can be managed even in remote locations where power supplies are limited.
Remote Pump Control
One of the most common applications for remote control is in the automated switching and control of pumps for agricultural or rural applications. Commonly, pumps for irrigation, livestock or agriculture are located in remote areas with limited connectivity. By pairing our data radios and transceivers with solar power, you can realize the benefits of remote automation and monitoring while ensuring continuity of service.
Remote Monitoring
A common application for remote operation is any use case where sensors or data needs to be collected at long distances. Raveon’s flexible architecture is suited to any application where you may need to monitor temperature sensors, float-level sensors, humidity, light, etc. monitored at a distance. By combining Raveon’s data communication services with solar power and remote sensors you can monitor assets and infrastructure in diverse environments and locations.
