Super Control and Data Acquisition  (Sensor Terminals Converts)

The RAZN Devices  is a durable, loop-powered 4-20mA Display for use in Process monitoring applications.
The list of terminal features here are available on all RAZN devices.
Raveon’s Waterproof Battery powered Outside Get Good Information OGGI device has many IO terminals also.

The Remote Autonomous Zone Node RAZN have many Input/Output capabilities. RAZN can monitor 4-20MA, Voltages, Digitals, Temperature, and Vibration.
This page describes all the types of terminals available on Raveon’s products (RAZN and Tech Series) with SCADA terminals and General Purpose IOs.
RAZN devices have all of these terminals available, and some Tech Series radio enclosures use some of these.

When it Loops, the RAZN product  monitors and spots the big loop. It sends this info to you.
And for Safety, you can setup the RAZN to Automatically do something Safe about Loops.

Transmitter

Whatever the sensor is monitoring, in milliseconds, it converts its measurement into a current signal, between four and twenty milliamps.
An transmits to your system, with: RS478, RS232, Ethernet, or Frequency Transmit. RAZN Frequency Bands.

The RAZN can be mounted in various configurations. Inside the RAZN a Data Radio can be used if you want a Frequency Transmitter.

Power Source

The RAZN can output DC power to run the SENSOR.  The power supply voltage at least 10% greater

The 4-20 mA signal converter is used to integrate the unit.  We have many  4-20 mA transmitters.

Input Output (IO) Terminal Block Descriptions RAZN Has

The Remote Autonomous Zone Node (RAZN) products Raveon creates have all of these IO features.  The RAZN version have 24 IO ports on the terminal blocks.

Modbus RTUs have IO terminals like this, and Raveon’s RTUs have these.

For SAFE Systems: Each product version of Raveon’s RAZN have Raveon’s GPIO interfaces on radio modems with a variety of different input and output terminal block function pins with a myriad of different features available.

The Myriad of IO features the RAZN  is shown of  RAZN IO Terminal Versions web page.  RAZN has many internal features to be Super Safe. It is more safe than any other Sensor Monitor that monitors 4-20mA.
To be safe, it has a Timer-Operation-Action (TOAA) feature to make a city or state super safe. The TOAA feature and be configured by you, so that if something goes Bad in your area, the RAZN will Automatically do Save IO features.
The RAZN could turn off (Power or Gas) is something is gad.  It a Computer Failed, and the it cant talk to a sensor, so the RAZN can monitor Sensors and Control other IO features the way you want.
When you setup the TOAA feature, it is to be SAFE.  So, if your computer broke, or your cables got cut, then the RAZN will automatically monitor Sensors, and then switch other Output features to be safe.

Our Tech Series Radios have many IO pins to monitor  SENSOR TRANSDUCER and Converters. They can monitor 4-20mA or large Voltages.

If you need some other terminal IO feature, contact Raveon and we will be glad to create new IO functions. If an IO pin has a Configuration variable, the letters is the name code code for the particular IO pin is how they are referred to and configured in commands.

All pins are heavily protected against noise and ESD and can be configured/calibrated to program the RAZN.  MODBUS commands can read and control these IOs.

There are many other IO pins listed in the RAXN IO pin information.

The RV-N55-3 RAZN has many SV options to control you pumps, valves, lights, or whatever.
Perfect for monitoring SENSORs and TRANSDUCERs, and CONVERTing.

SV   Switched Voltage Output    Ac or DC input voltage switched by this output

IOPIN:  D is the character to use to specify this type of GPIO

  • AC or DC diverted input on VP and VPG.   SV is switched voltage out, and the output device shares the power source ground connection VPG.
  • Max DC input: 48VDC
  • Max AC input: 50VAC
  • Off state leakage current:  <2uA
  • Switch impedance when on: 30 mΩ – 50mΩ.
  • Turn on/off time:  <5mS:
  • Max. peak load current:     5.5A
  • Max. Continuous load current:         2.5A (AC)   4.5A (DC)

The RV-N55-3 RAZN has many SV options to control you pumps, valves, lights, or whatever, and it has button inputs to locally control also if needed.

SD     3-Pin Isolated Solenoid Driver with internal Solenoid Current Monitoring.

IOPIN:  J is the character to use to specify this 3-Pin Solenoid Driver. .

DC input on VP and ground power input on VPG.   SD1 is the ON solenoid driver. SD2 is the OFF solenoid driver.
The switched voltage output drives SD1 and SD2 as appropriate to turn the solenoid On or OFF.
The pin 3 on the solenoid for the Ground uses VPG. So connect it to VPG so its other two connections are used for On and Off

  • Max Current to Monitor:                      5A.
  • Max DC input:                                        48V
  • Max AC input:                                         50VAC
  • Switch impedances when on:               30 mΩ – 50mΩ
  • Off state leakage current:                      <2uA

AI    Analog Input.    Voltage input or 4-20mA current Input

  • E: Input impedance: 10K-15K
  • F: Input Impedance: 120 ohm
  • A to D resolution: 12 bit
  • Input Measurement Accuracy:  2%.
  • Input Sampling Time: 50mS – 2S configurable.
  • Smoothing: Selectable averaging: 1-8 samples.
  • Maximum Input voltage:  5V  R1 can be changed.
  • Temperature stability:  <  ±30 PPM/ºC

IAI  Isolated Analog Input     Read Voltage or 4-20mA Signal

This is totally Isolated ADC input.   Analog inputs with voltage or current measurement.
(V or 4-20mA). 12bit ADC with configurable voltage levels.
IAI input and the IGND ground are both Isolated from the RAZN power and board.

  • A to D resolution: 12 bit
  • Input Measurement Accuracy:  2%.
  • Input Sampling Time: 50mS – 2S configurable.
  • Smoothing: Configurable averaging: 1-8 samples.

RV-M24  Waterproof Data Radio with Flexible IOs.

Raveon has created Tech Series Data Radios for reliable wireless solution.  In 2023 this water-proof Tech Series was created.

The RV-M24 used in wet areas because it has a IP67 waterproof enclosure and Myriad of IO features.

RV_M21  TECH SERIES MODEM

The RV-M21 data radio modems are the large high-power RF modems for VHF or UHF narrow-band channels.
Size: 4.6″(116.8mm) length,  3.085″(78.4mm)wide.     RF output: 100mW – 5W.

These radios are Easy To Use,. There is a myriad of IO options on the Tech Series enclosure.
Can be configured for RS-232, RS-422, RS485, USB, GPIO, FIO or Analog interfaces in house or in the field as needed.

If you need a small low-cost modem, our RV-M22 and RV-M50 Tech Series are small and low-cost with great IO features.
The RV-M50 version uses LORA data radio technology for long-range low-cost radio.
