Wireless SCADA is required in applications when communications with wires to a remote site is prohibitively expensive or it is too time-consuming to construct. Wireless SCADA systems are easy to install and communicate to hundreds of devices with very little wire. In some types of industry such as Oil & Gas or Water & Wastewater, wireless SCADA is often the only solution for remote sites.

The Tech Series modem with GPIO interface (See above) works on private wireless networks in VHF, UHF or ISM bands. The GPIO interface can be used to measure voltages, monitor switches, turn lights on or off, turn relays on or off, or measure temperatures.
