220MHz Data Radio

Raveon’s RV-M21  Tech Series data radio modems are industrial-grade, high-speed, data radios designed for telemetry, SCADA, AVL, wireless data, mobile-data and remote control applications. The RV-M21S-VC version is FCC approved in the 220MHz band,  216MHz-222MHz.  The internal radio module is also available as an M8 OEM RF modem module. This enclosure has a myriad of IO options.

Designed by Raveon for long-range reliable communication using high-performance RF circuitry and filters, it is also feature-rich. Raveon’s data radio transceivers increases data throughput in narrow-band wireless systems. Included in each unit, are advanced networking, error correction, and diagnostics.

The M21S is the most efficient and economical data radio available. The Optional internal GPS ( GX option) enables the M22G to transmit its position, data, and status (voltage, speed, heading, temperature, I/O bits.) a pre-set intervals using either conventional carrier-sense methods or with efficient TDMA channel access. A GPS tracking system built with M21G transceivers, can track up to 20 radios with one-second updates or 200 with 10-second updated. The M21 is the fastest most efficient 220MHz radio available. For IP67 Positive Train Control

The RV-M8S-VC radio is available in an very rugged IP67 enclosure called the M9.  The M9 data transceiver is a rugged MIL-STD-810 compliant ½ – 5 watt VHF, UHF, or 220MHz data radio mode.

Interface options include Ethernet, dual serial ports and USB. It has an optional GPS for use in AVL and asset tracking applications. Other options include tilt-sensor, and AES encryption.

The enclosure is rugged and IP67 rated so it is waterproof. Protected from immersion between 15 centimeters and 1 meter in depth, limited ingress protection.  The over-air protocol is compatible with all other Raveon data radio modems. This M9 is popular for aviation and rugged military vehicles.
