Raveon Unveils Revolutionary Wireless Modem at an Exceptional Price

Raveon Technologies announced the launch of the next-generation UHF data radio modem. This radio modem incorporates powerful features and advanced functions into one simple-to-use data radio modem - and is priced below entry level models from other companies.

Exceeding all FCC part 22 and 90 requirements for spectral efficiency, it features: 1- watts of RF output in the 450-480MHz (other bands available); outstanding communication range of up to 50 miles; ultra-fast T-R switching time of 3mS for telemetry systems; streaming or packetized data transmission; remote diagnostics for quick maintenance checks; VSWR monitoring of antenna for easy installation and; and programmable over-the-air data rates of 1200-1920bps. Each unit has built in store-and-forward repeater capability to greatly increase radio coverage, and remote "Ping" capability to testing the connection. Remote site management is made easy with built-in voltage, temperature, and current monitoring. The StingRay's selectable RS232/422/485 interface allows it to interface to almost any telemetry system, PLC, GPS, RTU, or other data device. An optional internal GPS make it ideal for AVL and asset tracking systems. It operates off of 10-16V DC input, and may be used in base-station or mobile applications.

Raveon's new RV-M7 high-speed UHF data radio transceiver increases data throughput in narrow-band wireless systems with high-speed data and fast T-R switching. Included in each unit, are advanced networking, error correction, and diagnostics. It may be ordered with an IP65 weatherproof enclosure, and because it is the only radio modem built using rugged "single-board" construction, it is extremely tough - and cost effective. With prices starting below $400, the dataradio is the most powerful and economical data radio available.
