Remote Autonomous Zone Node RTU/PLC
The RAZN is an automated peripheral to remotely monitor sensors and can also remotely control your things.
Use and and RTU or PLC, and it can also autonomously do what needs to be done. This makes your system safer because it will do things if the controller or network fails.
Long Range Wireless options are: narrow UHF or VHF channels, or license-free ISM band. Internal wireless modems within the RAZN can mesh RAZNs together.
To meet your needs, Raveon created an easy to use automated peripheral with wireless data links built into it. SCADA and Telemetry requirements are good to use the RAZN.

Remotely monitor our output TTL digital signals. Up to 16 General Purpose IO terminals are on this.
4 of the terminal can be used read voltage or sensors. These 4 can be setup to read 4-30mA current sensors.
When 4-20mA is enabled, there is an internal 120 ohm resistor to draw the current.
One terminal has a relay driver output on it to control a relay, light, or whatever you want to turn on with switched ground output.

RAZN has 4l voltage sensor in it used to measure voltage with 12 bit resolution, and can also measure current and 4-20mA.
Flexible TTL IOs (FIO)
The FIO pins can be setup as TTL digital input or outputs. 16 of the terminals can be used for FIO.

Robust, Reliable and Protected
The IO pins have great electrostatic discharge (ESD) and over-voltage protection. DC power input is reverse and over-voltage protected.
Internal smart CPU has watchdog timer, data stored in EEPROM, and battery powered clock.
Long-range communications uses wireless instead long copper that will fail.

Ethernet, RS-485, and many RF options. RAZN wireless links are super long-range communication. 1/2W to 5W UHF, VHF; 50mW-1W ISM LoRa. Verify operation and quality of connection in the field from 1 to 50 miles. The RAZN can also communicate with Raveon’s data radio modems (RV-M6, RV-M8, RV-M7, RV-M50 …)
Real Time Clock (RTC)
The battery backed up internal RTC is accurate and keeps track of all time, milliseconds, seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years.
It can be used to trigger events, and also time events and stop them when the time is over.
Timer events can turn things on or off based upon any time status you prefer.
A Myriad of Ways to Use This
Point-to-Point: The two RAZNs can work together by themselves and control what you want in isolated areas.
You can use 2-200 of these RAZNs to do what you need to control in isolated areas.

Use a remote master controller PC, PLC, GUI, IoT server, or MODBUS master to communicate with the RAZN and control your things in isolated areas.
Some RAZNs have sensor inputs, so sensors placed in the root zone of the plants to remotely control irrigation.
Timers and Real Time Clocks
All RAZNs have a Timer Operations Actions Alerts (TOAA) feature to use its timers to do what you want and when you want to have it done.
Button inputs can trigger timers to turn remote things on or off for specific time periods.

The controller for your system can be setup in many different ways. The easiest way is to buy is a preset pair of RAZNs we call the RV-N55-7x.
The N55-7 version has two ADS (Differential Analog Inputs) and 8 FIO(Flexible Digital Inputs or Outputs) and one RD(Relay Driver).
Your controller can wirelessly communicate with this high resolution RAZN with many GPIOs.
There is also DC power output to be used to power external sensors or devices.

RV-N55-8E Ethernet Interface
If you don’t need Long-range RF, you can use Ethernet or RS-485 connection to the RAZN to do everything also.
Send MODBUS messages over these connections to read your sensors.
Other RAZN version that will also work with your system.
A graphical display panel is included in these pairs of RAZNs. The 3U is a communication link to the remote isolated area where the 3B devices is controlling 1-8 things in the remote area.
N55-3G has 8 SV(Switched Voltage) outputs and 8 BI(Button Inputs).
Communicate with it over long rage areas using wireless data connections in VHF, UHF or ISM bands.

The RV-N55-5 has many Isolated IO terminals.
The GPIO Isolated Analog Inputs IAI can read voltage or 4-20mA sensors.

A graphical display panel can be connected to the RAZN to display the status of the GPIO terminals, or the status of terminals at a .
The RAZN can display remote status or control remote terminals, and a GUI on the master can also do that in a nice graphical way.

Each GPIO pin can be configured in a variety of different IO modes. RAVEON can set that up for the product you acquire, or you can easily choose the GPIO mode.
GPIO with Digital features
Digital Input (DI) is the A mode.
Digital Output (DO) is the B mode.
The IO pin can be spcified to be the A (DI) or the B (DO) mode.
The Flexible digital IOs are referred to as the FIO.
All FIO IO pins can be set to the A or the B mode.
Some can be configured as Switch Input (SI) with a pull-up resistor on the input pin.
In this GPIO mode S, a switch to ground is digital 1. Op, no switch on is digital 0.
The RAZN can also Autonomously monitor you digital inputs for:
- On time duration to trigger an event based on the On time.
- OFF time duration to trigger an event based on the OFF time.
- Pulse time can me monitored, recorded, and reported by the RAZN.
GPIO Analog Inputs
Analog IO pins can read voltage inputs using an analog converter in mode (E).
There is a 120 ohm resistor option to read 4-20mA in mode. (F).
Many RAZNs can automatically turn on the 120 resistor in mode F.
And some version need an internal jumper plugged in on the PCB to go in mode F.
The N55-7 version has ultra-high resolution ADC converter: 23 bits.
And to monitor high current, put a 0.10 ohm resistor on the Analog Input.
Calibrate command can setup the RAZN to accurately read current the way you want.
A Myriad of IO Terminals
Many of the IO features can be used in many different ways.
The Switched Voltage SV output outputs DC or AC voltage
- It is used to drive irrigation valves or lights.
- It can be used to drive a relay.
- The SV output can turn on and pulse solenoids.
- It could beep a speaker if yo setup the pulse rate.
Button Input BI is a pull-up resistor input for buttons.
- When a button is pressed it can trigger a remote output.
- A double button can be used on 2 IOs, and one is the ON button and
one is the OFF button. These 2 buttons control One thing local or remotely.
- The RAZN can monitor input pulse rate, so the BI can be a pulse monitor.
Sensors connected to a RAZN can monitor anything you want.
